Before a few weeks ago, I had no idea what “tagged” meant, but Ross from Will it Change You? decided to honor me with it. I’m not used to talking about myself on this blog much, so this is a bit of a change for me.
(Lets see…six things about me…)
1. I have a tattoo on my right ear. Its something I decide to get three years ago (my first and only tattoo) almost on a whim. Despite what my mother would say if she knew it was real, I haven’t regretted it, and I actually forget that I have it most of the time – unless I see someone staring at me.
2. I feel like I’m the only Bay Area (San Francisco) native! I don’t think I actually know anyone other than my older brother who is actually from here. Anyone else?
3. This is my first blog. At least my first blog that lasted longer than three months. Before this past spring, I never thought I would be blogging. I was never much of a writer so this is a big change for me.
4. I have worked for over a dozen companies in almost twelve years. Why? Besides being laid off about four times, I get bored in my jobs very easily. I have been at my current job for just a little over a year and I’m already ready to leave! I always want something new to do, see, learn, explore, people to meet and so on. My mother has been at her job/organization for almost 39 years and I don’t know how she does it. She’s been an RN for almost 25 of those years – the ultimate recession proof occupation, so that helps.
5. Hobbies. In the past ten years, I have taken piano lessons, violin lessons, sang in a professional classical chorus, took a painting class, posed as an art model, dabbled in photography, learned how to knit, improved my sewing skills, ran a 5K, took snowboarding lessons, took up indoor rock climbing, learned how to make soap, and started a website and blog.
6. I have a paralyzing fear of spiders. Its a true phobia given I have no rhyme or reason to be this fearful of them. I don’t fear bites, getting tangled up in a web or anything like that. Its the mere fact that its a spider that that I start to exert physical symptoms of a phobia. I even fear the actual web of a spider which is a separate from the spider phobia. Other critters don’t bother me – I don’t even have a fear of snakes but don’t put me in the same room with a spider, even a tiny one.
To continue this tagging game:
1. LINK TO THE PERSON WHO TAGGED YOU
2. POST THE RULES ON YOUR BLOG
3. WRITE SIX RANDOM THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF
4. TAG SIX PEOPLE AT THE END OF YOUR POST AND LINK TO THEM
5. LET EACH PERSON KNOW THEY ARE TAGGED AND LEAVE A COMMENT ON THEIR BLOG
6. LET THE TAGGER KNOW WHEN YOUR ENTRY IS UP
7. DON’T BREAK THE CHAIN (not actually a rule)
Thuy with Green Grown and Sexy
Simple Mom
Lovelyn with The Art of Balanced Living
Jim with Blueprint to Financial Prosperity
My apologies if you already been through this! I couldnt exactly find six people to tag. Everyone else I know have been tagged so far (I think).

I love getting to know my favorite bloggers like this!!!
I have a tattoo I got ten years ago – my only one – and it’s just part of me. Like my eyebrows. I think I pay more attention to my eyebrows than my tat, though.

I love how in number 5 you are trying all kinds of cool things to feed your soul. Music, art, staying active – the stuff of life.
Hey, remember GREEN BUILDINGS??? Well, here’s a link to a great new blog my friend Patricia of Patricia’s Wisdom, maybe you know her, gave to her hubby as a Christmas present.
This post is right up your alley.

I’m like you, I get bored easily. Thankfully my company moves me into a new job every 18-24 months otherwise I would go crazy. I love your list of hobbies too. I admire people who try lots of different things.

When I got my tattoo, my parents told me I’d regret it too, but like you, I forget I have it most of the time.
I’ll put up my six things on Wednesday. Thanks for tagging me.

Hi Carla:
You are an ambitious person! I am not real adventurous! And I do not get bored easily. It was fun to read “real” stuff about bloggers!

I love the list of things you did in the past 10 years. It’s hard learning new skills or even finding the time to do that……………..:)

@Bellesouth – LOL, I pay more attention to my brows too!
@Jannie – Thanks for the link – great article! I actually work for an architecture firm that specialses in LEED Cert. buildings.
@Carla – Thanks! Hope to see you back.
@livingmyrichlife – The problem is, I haven’t stuck to something long enough to really excel at it. I think that should be one of my goals once I relocate.
@Vered – That’s crazy, huh?!
@Lovelyn – I look forward to reading your Tagged post.
@Dee – I just hope I don’t get bored with this one!
@Lisa – Time is usually an issue. I don’t think I will have time now due to Green and Chic, but I am sticking to working out 5-6 days a week.
@Sagan – LOL, good point! It’s a star that is located about a third of the way up my lobe. I think to do it on the other one would be overkill.

Fun to learn more about you and your music and arts and self care interests.
This was very fun and nice to see Jannie give us a referral to the new blog….Thank you Jannie
Would one of your architects like to be a 5 questions person on our site?..what I have learned is that these guys and gals need to work on dialoging and communications with each other – competition is a great motivator but saving the planet is truly a team effort?
I am serious…I have Blogger Dad looking in Florida for me and I hope to get people around the country to find me architects to keep the conversation open and flowing.
What do you think?
We have lots of spiders here I even wrote a post about them…One I found was 7″ across – but that was from eating all the rest of the spiders in the house…! I don’t mind spiders/ like Lance you can keep the snakes.

I’ve always wondered where all of the bay area natives reside. I think all of the sports teams over here have fair weather fans because nobody has any loyalty to the area. Anyways, it was fun learning more about you, though I think I knew most of these things already. BTW, you forgot to mention health insurance:)

The same thing was true about Tucson and Phoenix – everyone was from somewhere else. I had one friend who was born there and both her parents were born there – that was VERY unusual.
I don’t get bored that easily but have never worked anywhere longer than 4 years. It amazes me when people work somewhere there entire career.
Thanks for sharing the info about yourself
