I know it been a while, but I would like to introduce my new Green and Chic website!
Sophia Lindsay of SoLi Design Studios is the brains and muscle behind the new design, layout and feel. My vision was to have a more user friendly web store while keeping the same eCommerce platform (which makes my life easier).
Though the site is always a work in progress and never “complete”, I am very happy with the new design. Its been almost a year since the launch of Green and Chic and I have been itching for a new look for months. Its almost like keeping the same wardrobe or hairstyle for over a decade, and you’re craving for a change as you grow as a person and your life changes.

In a recent post, I stated that I will be relocating in the next few weeks. Every time I move, I always forget how difficult and time consuming it can be! Not only am I moving out of my current home, but I am relocating out of state – something I’ve never done before. I’ve been here almost thirty-one years, so it’s about time!
I am also in the process of making changes to the Green and Chic website. I will switch web servers, ecommerce platform and the overall look, feel and layout. In the next few days, I will post a Green and Chic Blog reader survey to get an idea of what my readers like, dislike, want and need here at Green and Chic. Stay tuned!
A few days ago, I realized that its been over a year since I started the Green and Chic Blog! Time definitely went by fast. I would not have made it though this year without the support of my faithful readers, commenters and fellow bloggers. There are way too many people to list but I will make a shout out to two of these bloggers.

Before a few weeks ago, I had no idea what “tagged” meant, but Ross from Will it Change You? decided to honor me with it. I’m not used to talking about myself on this blog much, so this is a bit of a change for me.
(Lets see…six things about me…)
1. I have a tattoo on my right ear. Its something I decide to get three years ago (my first and only tattoo) almost on a whim. Despite what my mother would say if she knew it was real, I haven’t regretted it, and I actually forget that I have it most of the time – unless I see someone staring at me.
For the first time in I don’t know how long, I had a little downtime while stuck in a hotel in the Portland area due to unusual weather over the weekend. I had some time to think about my website and the blog that’s attached to it. I pondered what this blog means to me, my readers and where do I see it going.
When I first started this website and blog, I had no idea where it would take me. My goal was to have an online store; or at least try my hand at it for a bit to see how it would work out long-term. When I was told by numerous people that blogging would help promote Green and Chic, I started to think twice about the whole thing since I never blogged before, or read blogs for that matter!
I never thought I’d say this, but I am burn out on “green”. Not the lifestyle or movement; I guess I am sick of the word being used and overused everywhere you look. If you glance over my previous posts, you will find that I myself use the word “green” quite a bit. I guess part of why I am tired of the word green in this context is because of the issue of greewashing.
After a great deal of trial and error, I decided to revamp the website at Green and Chic to give it a new look and feel. Its finally done (with a matching blog to boot).
Shescribes is currently hosting a Green and Chic giveaway posted on November 11th. The giveaway is for a tube of Deep Steep Honeydew and Spearmint Body Butter.
